I can’t stop looking at my phone! But I am not alone; Over 2.5 billion people have Smartphones now and a lot of them are having a hard time putting them down but the problem is that our devices are designed to keep us engaged. They are intentionally addicting.
But if you understand the tricks that grab your attention, you can learn to have a healthier relationship with your phone and here, we are going to discuss some tricks to do if you really wish to come out of the addiction...

Turn off Notifications: When you get a call, message or an email, it’s usually because some other person wants to communicate with you. But a lot of applications simulate the feeling of that kind of social interaction to get you to spend more time on their platforms.

Grayscale your Screen: the easiest way to check your eye’s attention on screen is through colors. Human Eyes Sensitive to warm colors. That is the reason why most of the applications have their icon painted in warm and bright colors (Just to grab your eyes). So, turning your screen into grayscale might help you to reduce your screen time.

Restrict your home screen to Everyday tools: Make sure that your home screen when you unlock your Cell phone doesn’t have anything else except the essentials. The essential apps are those which help you in routine. Like Camera, Maps, Clock, reminders, etc. In a simple way, avoid putting apps which leads you to infinite scrolling. Like Browser and all of your social media apps on your home screen. Researchers have found that people rely more on visual cues more than internal cues to stop consuming. Most applications will lead you to infinite scrolling just to make you stay there and once you cannot see where the End is; you keep on scrolling wishing to reach till the end (Which may never come)
